APPOINTMENT OF NEW CEO

MEMORANDUM

On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my great pleasure to announce our new CEO for Bethany Methodist Corporation, Vera Lampe, effective as of January 1, 2024. In order to ensure a smooth transition, our current CEO, Sunny Lopez, will be on staff in an advisory capacity until February 1, 2024, the date of her retirement. 

Vera has worked at Chestnut Square at The Glen for 16 years, the last 14 as Executive Director overseeing operations for Chestnut Square with competence, compassion, and an unflinching commitment to our mission. We believe her outstanding leadership, experience, and dedication will be invaluable in guiding the organization on our path to a thriving future. 

In her new role, Vera will have overall responsibility for business strategy, business development, operations, and the financial performance of Chestnut Square at The Glen and Partners in Healthcare. Our focus will continue to be on delivering state-of-the-art programs and services for our residents and clients.

Vera will be the eighth CEO of Bethany Methodist Corporation since the founding of our organization in 1889. She follows a long tradition of leaders who never wavered from our mission to provide exceptional senior community living and health care that promotes holistic well-being for residents and clients. We are excited to work with Vera and with all of you as we move into the future, firmly rooted in our tradition and enthusiastic about our opportunities ahead.
